Residential Parks

The Residential Parks Act 2026 (The Act) sets out the rules for living in and operating residential parks in Tasmania.

It explains the rights and responsibilities of residents and park owners. It also covers things such as site agreements, rent, park rules, maintenance, resolving disputes and ending a site agreement.

Whether you live in a residential park or own or manage one, it is important to understand how the Act applies to you. The Act is designed to support fair and respectful relationships and provide clear rules for everyone involved in residential park communities.

This page provides information and resources to help residents, owners and operators understand their rights and responsibilities, access forms and notices, and find answers to commonly asked questions.

Forms, Notices, Model Agreement and Model Park Rules

Approved forms are official forms that must be used when required by the Act. They help residents, park owners and operators provide the right information and meet their legal obligations.

The model residential park agreement provides a standard agreement for residential park arrangements, while the model park rules provide a set of rules that can be used to help manage a residential park.

Other forms and notices are also available to help park owners comply with the requirements of the Act and manage common situations that may arise during a residential park agreement.

These resources are designed to help residents, park owners and operators understand their rights and responsibilities and comply with the Act. Information is provided for each document explaining what it is used for, who should use it and when it may be required.
